I’ve been neglecting you.
It’s not that I haven’t thought about it. The urge to write hits me at random and inopportune moments. I’ve drafted entire blog post series in my head, down to minute grammatical inferences, and yet they never seem to make their way onto an actual screen. I’m working on that. I’m also working on regular videos, and definitely on my Honeymoon album review.
Sometimes it’s difficult to hit publish because it’s been so long, and I’m not really sure what the response will be, if any. I exist almost solely through YouTube, but I love my blog and I love being able to write whatever I like about whatever I choose.
Last week I attended a fantastic event called Community Unite London, organised by Mary Akemon. It was this rare and wonderful gathering of creative people all eager to make cool things and connect with each other. I came away feeling inspired, not just to make more review videos (although I love doing those) but also to write more, make more, experiment more, and get this ramshackle project that I call Catiewahwah in order.
So, here are some things that you can expect from me:
- I’m uploading the backlog of posts for my YouTube videos so you can browse my videos directly from the website
- Some random thoughts on pop culture, film, TV
- Extended posts and random extras from my videos
- Some blog-specific activities and series – possibly some Q&A type things or more in-depth analysis of albums I don’t have time to make videos about? I’m not sure, maybe you can help me with this one?
Anyway, thank you for reading and thank you for waiting!
